September 2026. – Puerto Antofagasta invites companies and industry professionals to a technical presentation on the tender for its dredging project. The event will take place on Monday, 21 September 2026, at 11:30 a.m. at Pullman Santiago Vitacura, located at Av. Vitacura 3201, Vitacura, Santiago.
The meeting will provide information on Public Tender No. 019/26 – Second Call. This new call follows the conclusion of the previous tender process without an award. The presentation in Santiago complements regional outreach efforts and aims to make information about the process available to specialised companies and potential bidders from different parts of the country.
The project includes dredging works in areas of the harbour basin and in the port access channel.
“Antofagasta needs port infrastructure that matches its economic importance and its ambitions in international markets. Our Master Plan brings together the expansion of the breakwater, the development of La Negra and the modernisation of Portezuelo to strengthen the region’s position as a logistics hub. The dredging project advances that vision by improving operating conditions at the port’s berthing facilities. The presentations in Antofagasta and Santiago have a clear purpose: to attract the experience and technical capacity needed to deliver this investment in the region,” said Carlos Escobar Olguín, General Manager of Puerto Antofagasta.
Next steps
Puerto Antofagasta will open a second round of enquiries from 24 to 30 September and provide responses from 1 to 7 October, in accordance with the schedule set out in Clarification No. 1.
The port company will receive and open technical bids on 20 October. Financial bids will be opened on 27 October 2026. Technical and administrative enquiries must be submitted through the official channels specified in the tender documents.
